HERE IS THE NEW ALFA ROMEO 33 STRADALE!

A few minutes ago, Alfa Romeo unveiled the new Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale. This is a true “manifesto” of the Italian brand’s capabilities in terms of style and driving experience. Made in just 33 exclusive examples, using a unique artisanal process, the new “two-seater” coupe combines the heritage and future of the brand as a symbol of the noble Italian sporting spirit.

Here are the first images and characteristics of the new Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale

To make a dream come true, the essential ingredient is a good dose of courage and a pinch of healthy madness. Same recipe for the car considered by many to be one of the most beautiful of all time: the 33 Stradale, launched in 1967. Today, with the same audacity and the same vision, the Alfa Romeo team has designed and developed the new Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, an authentic work of art in motion, the result of the perfect combination of beauty and technology.

Its goal is to give the most exciting driving experience and the immortal charm of an icon to a small circle of enthusiasts, who believed in the project from the beginning. The new 33 Stradale was created at Alfa Romeo's new Bottega factory, where the brand's designers, engineers and historians first listened to potential buyers and then produced the car together.

Produced by the Alfa Romeo Style Center, the new 33 Stradale draws inspiration from the historic 1967 model, enriching its sculptural beauty with some design elements from Alfa Romeo's new stylistic language. The exterior is characterized by a perfect balance between proportions, volumes and surface finishes and becomes the emblem of Alfa Romeo's “necessary beauty”. The front presents a powerful and muscular volume, where the emblematic shield and the complex shapes of the elliptical base headlights stand out.

The profile is dynamic and slender, the bodywork is projected forward, with surfaces modeled according to the typical criteria of the formal expression of Alfa Romeo. In addition, thanks to the angled opening of the doors and the large wraparound sunroof, the driver can enjoy a unique view, very similar to that of the cockpit of an airplane.

The overall image offered by opening the hood and doors reinforces the theatrical appearance of the car. The "brutal" rear is balanced by the sinuous front and the maximum height is not at the height of the windshield, like on any other sports car, but in the center of the roof. In particular, the rear area expresses the strength of the car through the truncated tail, V-shaped graphics and round taillights. Aerodynamic efficiency is confirmed by a Cd of 0.375 at zero Cz (downlift) for precise choice without the aid of active systems.

Even the interiors stand out for the minimalism of design and materials, all designed to aim for the greatest possible involvement in the driving experience. In particular, the cabin has been designed with the aim of minimizing elements that could distract the driver, as evidenced by the limited number of practical controls while driving located on the center console. Directly in front of the driver is a screen whose 3D “telescopic” design involves the driver in a unique interaction. The steering wheel, stripped of all its usual buttons, offers an experience of pure driving pleasure.

Like in the cockpit of an airplane, the controls are positioned at different levels, in the lower center console and at a higher level, installed in the central cladding inside the roof. The interiors are available in two trim levels: “Tributo” and “Alfa Corse”. The aeronautically inspired dashboard and central tunnel use materials such as aluminum, carbon fiber, leather and Alcantara. The enveloping seats covered in Poltrona Frau leather reinterpret those of its predecessor, guaranteeing comfort and ergonomics. Every detail is designed to create an exclusive and attractive environment, preserving the aesthetic and technical heritage of the 1967 33 Stradale.

The new 33 Stradale therefore benefits from the best of Alfa Romeo engineering, as evidenced by the double-link suspension with active shock absorbers and the evolution of the 2.9 V6 engine. The new Alfa Romeo special edition can be equipped with a twin-turbo V6 engine. over 620 horsepower or it can be offered in a BEV configuration of over 750 horsepower. Performance is exceptional in both versions. In the electric version, the range reaches 450 km.

The top speed is 333 km/h and it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in less than three seconds. The double-link suspension with active shock absorbers and the raised front axle ensure easy handling and comfort. The Alfa Romeo Brake-By-Wire braking system and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes provide high-level performance. The H-frame and aluminum monocoque i
