THE ALFA ROMEO MILANO SHOWS UP ON THE STREETS OF BALOCCO!

After the first images relating to the patents on the main elements that will make up the interiors of the Alfa Romeo Milano, the first electric B-SUV from the manufacturer Alfa Romeo, were published by your favorite site, the Milanese manufacturer seems to have increased activities road tests.

The new Alfa Romeo Milano has been spotted on the road through some examples carrying out different test activities while waiting for the official debut scheduled for next April 10, in Milan. The B-SUV, subject of these images, shows camouflage with a graphic pattern already seen on the example that the Biscione had shown in some official images taken in Balocco.

It must be said that, in addition to the well-known images relating to the on-board systems which had revealed in advance the final design of this new Milano, the photos taken on the road, for their part, also reveal for the first time the rear part. A section that intrigues by the way the angle of inclination of the rear window has been resolved, which seems to be rather downwards, giving this Alfa Romeo Milano an almost coupe-like appearance.....

The first Alfa Romeo brand B-SUV “pinned” on the road is clearly the one equipped with the definitive bodywork and stylistic elements now practically ready for the official presentation. It follows that these spy photos introduce new confirmations of what the signature style of the new Alfa Romeo Milano will be. The B-SUV presented here is equipped with a more traditional endothermic engine, given the presence of the dual rear exhaust. As we said, the images therefore do not differ from the style already known thanks to the leak from some time ago.

In fact, we already know that this small urban SUV will introduce a new stylistic scheme that will deviate from that developed at the time for the Giulia, the Stelvio and even the Tonale. The front will be characterized by a more complex stylistic scheme with the more square central shield and the new Matrix LED headlights that extend to the center with integrated openings for the passage of air flows. The Trilobe, however, appears well integrated thanks to a large, low, full-width opening that can be seen for the first time almost entirely uncovered in these images.

Other characteristic elements of the front are the "clamshell" hood, very similar to that of the new Fiat 600 (with which it shares the base) and the unprecedented placement of the central license plate under the radar for the ADAS management.

The Alfa Romeo Milano also returns the rear door handle located in a hidden position in the pillar. At the same time, the shape of the sides and the resulting stylistic scheme of the windows seem to follow what has already been seen on Zagato's Giulia SWB; inspiration that can also be found in the “arched” shape of the rear part. There is a small hint here of a third volume, aiming to introduce a stylistic scheme which should derive from that of the Alfa Romeo Duetto of the late 1980s with also the reintroduction of the famous truncated tail.

Even if these images show us the Alfa Romeo Milano equipped with an endothermic engine, the first B-SUV from the manufacturer Alfa Romeo will be primarily electric. In this case it will benefit from the 156 horsepower unit already available on the electric Stellantis from which it comes; We remind you that the Alfa Romeo Milano will be based on the e-CMP platform shared with the Fiat 600 and the Jeep Avenger, with which it will also share the Polish production plant in Tychy.

Alongside the purely electric variants (which should be two in number), there will also be the 1.2 PureTech mild hybrids of 100 and 136 horsepower which would constitute an interesting range, as well as a variant equipped with traction on all four wheels and a possible sports version which could benefit from the 240 horsepower of the new Abarth 600e which we will see later.
